Khanya Life – Return and Refund Policy

Effective Date: April 2026

This policy explains how refunds, returns, and exchanges are handled for purchases made through the Khanya Life website and applies to direct-to-consumer (DTC) customers.

This policy is aligned with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

1. Consumer Rights

Under the CPA, you have the right to receive goods that are:

  • Safe and of good quality
  • In working order
  • Free of defects
  • Reasonably suitable for their intended purpose

If a product does not meet these standards, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives:

  • Damaged
  • Defective
  • Incorrect

Please notify us within 36–48 hours of delivery (aligned with our Shipping Policy).

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs (including packaging, batch/expiry where applicable)

Resolution

Once verified, we will:

  • Replace the product; or
  • Issue a refund where appropriate

in line with the CPA.

3. Defective Products

In terms of the CPA:

  • You may return defective or unsafe products within 6 months of purchase
  • You may request:
    • A replacement; or
    • A refund

Khanya Life reserves the right to:

  • Inspect the product
  • Verify the defect before processing

4. Change of Mind Returns

Due to the nature of consumable wellness products:

  • Returns are not accepted for change of mind once products have been opened or used

If your order has not yet been dispatched, cancellation may be possible.

5. Hygiene & Safety Limitation

For safety and quality reasons:

  • Opened or partially used consumable products cannot be returned unless defective

6. Reseller Purchases

This Refund Policy applies to direct consumer purchases only.

  • Products purchased for resale (including starter packs) are governed by the Reseller Participation Terms
  • Such purchases are:
    • Non-refundable (unless defective under CPA)
    • Subject to separate commercial terms

7. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible
  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider
  • Refunds are only processed on a Monday. Please allow 2–3 days to reflect in the bank account.

8. Important Notes

  • We may decline refund or return requests where:
    • Products have been misused
    • Products were improperly stored after delivery
    • Insufficient information is provided
